What "iCal subscription" does
The club publishes a live calendar feed that you can subscribe to from any calendar app. Once subscribed:
- Every event in the calendar shows up in your phone or computer’s calendar.
- Updates from the coach (time changes, cancellations, new events) flow into your calendar automatically. Allow up to an hour: the feed is cached that long, and calendar apps poll on their own schedule.
- It’s read-only — you can’t edit the event in your calendar app, just view it.
- All-day entries — including No Training days — appear as a banner across the top of the day rather than in a time slot, exactly like an all-day event you’d add yourself.
Why subscribe
- See practices alongside your other appointments — no app-switching.
- Get reminders from your phone’s calendar (the family page itself doesn’t send “5 min before” alerts; your calendar app does).
- Share the calendar with grandparents, drivers, anyone.
Subscribe vs. import
This is a subscription, not a one-time import. The feed updates live as the coach edits events. Don’t download the .ics file and import it as a one-shot — you’ll miss updates.
One subscription per calendar
Team Summit has two calendars: Age Class and Ability. (FIS is a group inside Ability, not a calendar of its own.) Each has its own feed. If your athletes are in more than one, subscribe to each calendar separately. You’ll typically only need the calendar(s) your kids are in.
Where to get the feed URL
The feed URL looks like:
webcal://ts.onsnowlive.com/feed/age-class/<long-token>.icsThe token is unique per calendar and changes only if the club rotates it. Your coach has the URL — ask them, or check the “calendar subscription” link they may have shared in the Telegram channel.
Set up per device
